1/24/16 sermon: When we ask Christ into our lives we have also asked to join the Kingdom Of God. There are rules or commands that are found in the Word that we are to be obedient to and God said He would prosper or advance us in the way He would have us go or the next step in His plan for our lives. First we start out on the "milk" of the Word which is the basic or foundational teaching, we then get tested and if we can be trusted with those little things then we can move on to the bigger things or more advanced teachings which is the "meat" of the Word. Far to many Christians stay on milk because they reason away Gods Word, don't want to grow up and ultimately fall away from the faith. In Part 2 of “Fasting For Power” we look at Gods Word on the tragedy that comes when we don’t wait for His perfect will to be done. Troubles come when we don’t act on the Godly Wisdom from His Word but follow our immediate fleshly desires. But when we desire to hear from God and we set aside time to pray, fast and wait for the answer there is a blessing that is waiting for us. Don’t settle for a bowl of soup like Esau did, it cost Him his inheritance. He couldn’t wait, he lived by his feelings and desires and not Gods. There is a blessing that awaits all of us if we won’t settle and push thru our thoughts, our schedules, our fears, our own plan and seek what Gods Will is in all situations. In part 4 of “The Prophecies Of Daniel Revealed” we look at the order and specific prophetic events that Daniel saw and how they parallel what John saw in the book of Revelation 600 hundred years later. We go through God’s Word on how Daniel did not compromise in this Babylonian system setting the example for you and I as we are called to not compromise while living in the “Time of The End” that Daniel saw. We have been called for “such a time as this” and that same “excellent spirit” that caused Daniel to be promoted to help his nation is the same spirit that needs to be found in us today. We must believe and acknowledge that Jesus died in our place, for our sin and affirm that His resurrection proves that He was who He said He was. We must ask the Lord to apply His sacrifice to our account and then allow Him to be King and ruler in our life.
